Origin Story
Rooted in Alaska. Shaped by Family.
Calista Brice is driven by more than just profit. We are a family company and an Alaska Native Corporation.
We’re fully owned by Calista Corporation, which serves over 39,100 Alaska Native Shareholders from the Calista Region. Several of our subsidiaries were founded decades ago by families still active in the businesses today.
Preserving Alaska Native Heritage
Just over a decade after Alaska became a state, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) was passed.
It honored Alaska Natives’ rights, granting land and funds to support their well-being.
Calista Corporation, our parent company, is one of the regional corporations ANCSA created to manage these resources and strengthen Native communities.
