Alaska Crane played a key role in the successful completion of the Fire Island Gearbox Replacements, overcoming unique logistical challenges posed by the island’s tidal conditions.

The project utilized the Liebherr LTM 1500 configured with 161’ of luffing jib, operating at a maximum 100’ radius to safely and efficiently lift and replace 34,000-pound gearboxes. ACL provided a certified operator, a qualified rigger/signalman, and comprehensive lift planning to ensure seamless execution.

Despite the complexities of coordinating demobilization with high tide access, ACL demonstrated its expertise and commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient crane services under demanding conditions.
