Alaska Radar System Fire Suppression Upgrades

Brice Civil is installing fire suppression systems for 15 Minimally Attended Radar Site (MARS) towers in the USAF Alaska Radar System. The project scope includes a new NFPA 2001 Clean Agent type fire suppression system as well as minor mechanical and electrical modifications required to coordinate and communicate between the new fire suppression system and the existing building HVAC and communication systems for each facility. The area to be protected varies based on the configuration of the radar at each site. This project has many logistical challenges that include delivery of materials and crews to 15 remotes sites.
