Marshall Airport Improvements
BRICE INC.
Subsidiary: Brice Inc.
Client: Alaska Department of Transportation
Contract Value: $25.6M
Location: Marshall, AK
Dates: December 2023 – October 2025
Brice, Inc. established themselves in the lower Yukon village of Marshall back in 2023 to provide material and support for the St. Mary’s Airport project roughly 60 miles downriver. In doing so, they opened a new mine at the base of Pilcher Mountain, which has provided material not only for Marshall and St. Mary’s, but also for Russian Mission and Galena. In the past year, they took on the Marshall Airport Improvements project, a rehabilitation of the existing runway, snow removal equipment building, and village airport access road, with a contract value of $25.6 million.
Not only did Brice make improvements to the existing airport and utilities, but they also provided job opportunities over the past two seasons to the residents of Marshall. Additionally, they hosted two separate CDL training classes, which allowed roughly 25 residents to obtain their CDL licenses. This created more opportunities for local residents to take their skills and training to other parts of the state to continue working!
