Russian Mission Airport Emergency Repairs

This FAA-funded $7.3 Million emergency relief project required quick turn-around and constant communication with Alaska DOT & PF to allow the Airport to remain open and safely operational after spring flooding compromised the runway. Brice cleared deposited river debris and sediment from the Russian Mission runway, barged in 14,000 tons of Crushed Aggregate Surface Coarse from the newly developed material site in Marshall, and resurfaced the runway and taxiway, all within a months’ time.
