Transformer Replacement at Federal Building

Alaska Crane was subcontracted by AMES 1 to replace two original transformers at the Federal Building in downtown Anchorage. These transformers, installed in 1979, powered the entire building. The project required closing a city block to accommodate crane operations. Using the Liebherr LTM 1500 with a luffing jib, ACL performed complex lifts with precision in a challenging downtown setting. The project highlighted Alaska Crane’s expertise and commitment to safety, passing a surprise OSHA inspection with full compliance.
